Yes, you guys guessed right - busy working. Well, its pretty good compared to my previous jobs. A relaxing five day week. 6 o'clock sharp office exit routine. I wouldn't complain, really.

In my two weeks the my new office, I've worked late like once! Spent 50% of my time out of office. Had a company sponsored 'drink session'. And going on a business trip at the end of the month. What more can I ask for?

I've been spending more time at home. Having at least a meal at home. Just hooked my place up with wireless cable internet connection from Starhub. (If anyone got any tips on how to prevent the frequent d/c, let me know)

Was just sitting with my girlfriend the other day, having lunch, and another day again, having coffee. Its really interesting that you see over the years, people who've walked through our lives. People come - people go. Some stay, for a while, some longer. But only really true and sincere friends will remain. Friends - why do we even bother sometimes? I'd rather hang on to the ones I have and know I won't lose, than to even risk making new friends, who I never know when will leave.

Well people, I hope to meet up with some of you folks tonight, but there are a few groups asking me out. I hope I'll be able to fit everyone in. If not, there's always tomorrow, for today, in my heart and mind, the rest of you folks remain.

Cheers Ya'll

Preston

Working & Owing

Working

Counting down to the days till I am left with this unlimited freedom in my life. Come 4th July, it would be back to work after two months of 'retirement'. Well, I guess I deserve it after 3 years of solid hard work.

Someone was saying that he doesn't think I'll maintain my 5 day week working schedule. Well, what can I say, thats the way I'm 'wired' - that is to say I put my all in my work and in saying that, the minimum requirement is a 100%. Yet someone once said (this I think is pretty lame), that he feels envious of me as he can't talk about his work on his personal mobile. To me, its simple. If there's a job to be done, then there's a job to be done. No two ways about it. And if there are other things as well, simple, PRIORITISE.

I guess people have come to accept the way I live my life and run it in relation to my work. Well, I must be doing something right. I've only applied for one job since finishing my 2 year stint with the Army. I've either been headhunted, invited to join companies, or been outright offered positions.

Owing

On another note, I was having a chat with someone, and we were talking about indebtedness versus not having anything at all. To think about it, whilst some people may live off what others give to them, there are those which make promises of returning a treat, or money loaned. What the people do with the loaned money does come into play but to keep matters simple, whatever the money was loaned for had better be worth the while.

Well, the one who lives day to day, taking what he can get, is in a way better off. Compared to one who may have loaned $10,000, he may have cold hard $10,000, but spend a dollar, and he's left with $9,999, and once he returns this $9,999, he has to figure a way to return the remaining $1.

General

Anyway, I've been wanting to post some new pictures on my friendster, and this blog but two problems. Firstly, my printer-scanner-coppier is in servicing and would probably take a while. And next, is that I'm figuring a way to post them here.

Also wanna let you guys know of this site which is pretty good. Its WhoLivesNearYou. I guess what its about is pretty obvious as the name suggests. For those of you who visit it, go see my profile.

Back in the Scene

I went back to church today - its been a rather long time. I guess my last visit has got to be sometime 6 odd months ago.

Well, it was interesting. Lots to say and comment, compared to any other time that I went MIA from church.

You'd think those hardcore people who really swore by the church and its leadership, will never leave or go against the leadership, let alone defy an 'order'. I am amazed, truly! And when they leave, they bring people with them. Well, this isn't one of those cases that people follow them voluntarily, but that of them doing it with clear intent.

Later an old member speaks to me about this incident, and I say, well I'd do the same if I were leaving a company, that is to say that, I take the best people with me.

Having said that, I come to the realisation that, who are the church and christians trying to kid? They're just like any ordinary person or organization. Well, who am I to judge, and who is perfect? The people responsible for the acts mentioned are the same who once preached about differentiating christians and the church from the rest of the world.

Well, it may seem at this point that I am anti christ or anti church for that matter. Really, I'm not.

The only point I'm trying to prove is that the church needs to grow up and take a shot of realism. They've got to understand and accept people - we are in the world and we are subject to its powers. Now, we are only human, we all sin, and we all do not qualify. So, wake up, smell the coffee and do not try to qualify and or disqualify people. The leadership is in no position to disqualify or qualify one of being worthy to serve in a church or in ministry. For anyone who disagrees, please first answer and account for the acts of the people who once are qualifiers of others, but today, be commiting acts that they should be themselves ashamed of.

So long. With this I end my first blog entry and urge ye all to be more discerning and less critical and judgemental of others.

God Bless!
